I can say that this day was so swelter. All animal decide to lie on sun :) Some time I lost on a lower beats of Luneside to at last arrive to bridge. Under motorway river is more deeper and narrow. Additionally on this bright day there was a bit of shadow. I want to try here some light and aggressive, but not to small for this time of year. So I choice some 10g Flying C (fluo-orange). Long shape make it work from first turns of reel - what is not too often befall with Flying C. First long cast at nearly 90 degree, bite go down to the bottom and I start slow clew. Few turns, spinn pick up and bang! Something stop my reel? Maybe some rock or. And rod start to throb. WOW - that's fish. It's going slowly and constant to my and don't want to go up. After couple of minutes is nearly bank. I start to take it to surface, and fish begin fight. Some splash and few short runs after which kelt land on rocks. Maybe no cigar, but fun :) Quick check - salmon has 6lb. Photo yet, and with so energy kick fish flee back.
Nothing to be very pride, but it gives my some positive energy for new just starting season :)
Rest time of fishing go so quiet. All what worth few words is fact that I saw some about 15in fish swimming one after another in sun, but they don't feed. Rather just take some nice warm aglow just like rest of birds and rabbits that day :)
